Two ways in which God demonstrated the wisdom of the Holy Spirit

1. The wisdom of the Spirit was demonstrated by how the church overcame the challenges. The apostles heard the complaints and made changes to meet the needs.
2. The Wisdom of the Spirit was demonstrated by the testimony of Stephen. Stephen was full of grace and power. His words were irresistible, and he will full of peace before his accusers. 

What lessons can we learn for today?

1. Corporately, ICB will always have challenges that we need to overcome, but we have access to the same Spirit of wisdom as the early church had. We need to pray and follow the lead of the Holy Spirit.
2. Individually, we do not be afraid to share our hope since the same Spirit who filled Stephen is in us now.

1. What particular stood out to you from the message?
2. Have you discerned the particular abilities that God has given you? As we saw in today's text, some should dedicate themselves specifically to the teaching of the word and to prayer. Others should dedicate themselves to the meeting of needs of church members. Perhaps others should dedicate themselves to something else. What about you?
3. Why do you think it was necessary to choose people who were "of good repute" and "full of the Spirit and of wisdom" for the task of "serving tables"? What do you think this teaches us about the qualifications for places of service in the church today?
