Acts 4:1-31

A church filled with the Holy Spirit…

1. …faces persecution. We expect power from heaven and persecution from the world.
2. …goes to prison because of their faith. 
3. …will triumph despite the persecution.
4. …brings to mind the sovereignty of God.
5. …prays based on the word of God.
6. …understands that human weakness does not frustrate God's will.
7. …does not ask for the problem to end but asks for power to endure through the problem.
8. …looks forward to see God's miracles in its midst.

1. Which of these marks do you think your local church exemplifies?
2. Which of these marks do you think your local church lacks?
3. We know that every believer has been sealed with the Spirit of God according to Ephesians 1:13; however, what hinders us as a church from experiencing his presence more fully in our lives?
